Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP)

The Canadian Certified Administrative Professional Programs, sponsored by the , is one of the vehicles available to those interested in advancing their professional development. Both of our certificate programs – the Canadian Certified Administrative Professional (CCAP) and the Canadian Certified Administrative Professional Associate (CCAPA) are for administrative professionals. 

Members are encouraged to earn either certification by meeting the requirements of the applicable program’s components. Both certifications have educational, membership, and experience components, and both require certification renewal once they are obtained.

Canadian Certified Administrative Professional (CCAP)

The CCAP program is comprised of seven (7) AAP courses (of which the Online and Continuing Education unit offers 6 courses) that must be successfully completed so you can apply for the designation.

Important notes

  • The CCAP designation is a university-level certification
  • All applicants wishing to register in the CCAP program MUST be members of the Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP). Membership in good standing must be maintained to earn and retain use of the CCAP designation
  • Since April 1, 2010, students who enroll in and graduate from the CCAP program must complete a certification renewal process every three years
