SLIS professor Margaret Mackey and SLIS sessional instructor Gail de Vos were both speakers at the Central ß÷ßäÉçÇø Regional Consortium's annual Librarians' Conference in Red Deer on March 23. This year's theme was "The Connected School Library."
Dr. Mackey spoke on the topic of "E-Readers and E-Reading: Change on the Way." Ms. de Vos did two presentations on the subject of graphic novels, the first discussing their role and value in Grades 2-6, and the second looking at their place in Grades 7-12.
