Why study this program?
Creativity and culture brings together the study of the humanities (art history, cultural studies, English literature, Indigenous studies, modern languages, music history and philosophy) with the fine arts (creative writing, drama, music and visual art). Students focus on studying and using words, images, and sound, with the goal of engaging with cultural works.
Traditional humanities and fine arts majors graduate with a specific set of discipline-based skills. In contrast, our students are exposed to a variety of methods and approaches, and they are encouraged to pursue their own unique path through the program.
