Seniors' Day | Thursdays Until September 25

Seniors' Day runs every Thursday until September 25. Free coffee will be available for seniors (65+) at The Cafe and the Bee Line hop-on-hop-off tram service will be offered most Thursdays typically running between 10:30 a.m., to 3:30 p.m.

General Garden admission applies. Free admission for Garden Members.

Wild Mushroom Walks | July 25

This summer, May through September, you can explore the wonderful world of mushrooms with expert Martin Osis, who will be leading a number of mushroom discovery walks through the Garden’s natural areas. These walks have been very popular and we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

The Olfactory Garden | July 26 and July 27

Ever dreamed of creating your own signature scent while in a beautiful garden?

This summer, indulge your senses in The Olfactory Garden, an immersive afternoon of perfumery and natural beauty. Led by an apprentice perfumer, you'll embark on an olfactory journey beginning with an insightful introduction to the history of perfume, discover how the raw materials behind beloved fragrances are carefully sourced and refined, engage in a hands-on exploration of scent, and culminate your experience by crafting your own ready-to-wear perfume.

Yoga in the Garden | July 27

Slow down and reconnect with yourself in the peaceful beauty of the Aga Khan Garden. On July 27, join us for an evening of gentle yoga with Melanie Maltais followed by a soothing sound bath with Marcus Fung. Japanese Tea Ceremony | July 27 SOLD OUT

Take in a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, within the Teahouses in the Kurimoto Japanese Garden, presented by the Matsukaze Chanoyu Association.

“Matsukaze” means ‘wind in the pines’ – in the quiet of the tearoom, the sound of water in the kettle is similar to hearing wind in the pines. "Cha No Yu" (literally, hot water for tea) is the Japanese art of making and sharing tea.

A tea ceremony ticket and Garden general admission ticket are both required to attend.

Horizons in Unison: An International Concert | August 24

A Pathways Series Event. An ensemble of distinguished musicians representing myriad cultures, languages and regions of the world will gather in the Aga Khan Garden for an evening of international music.

Beloved singer Shabnam Merali will be joined by an assemblage of Persian, Pakistani, Afghan, Syrian, Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Hindi and Sindhi voices and music.

Order a cultural snack box, lay down your favorite carpet or blanket, and immerse yourself in a world away from the everyday.

Pathways | September 25

Kurimoto Japanese Garden 

An evening of cultural experience centered in the Kurimoto Japanese Garden.

In addition to music, food and cultural displays, Edmonton artist and photographer Nozomi Kamei will share her project about the history of Japanese-Canadians and some of their experiences in internment camps during the Second World War.

Step into a world away from the everyday. Join us in the second of four cultural showcases at the Botanic Garden in 2025/26, creating multiple pathways between peoples through the arts.
