Camp fYrefly for Calgary and Southern ß÷ßäÉçÇø is hosted through a partnership with the . We are grateful to host our Camp on the land which includes the traditional territories of the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuu T'ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, as well as the Metis Nation of ß÷ßäÉçÇø, Region III. Camp fYrefly held its inaugural camp in Southern ß÷ßäÉçÇø in the summer of 2013.

Camp fYrefly began in 2004 in Edmonton, ß÷ßäÉçÇø, Canada. It started as a long weekend retreat to empower sexual and gender diverse youth before they went back to school, which for many was a time of stress and anxiety. After that first experience, we knew we had created something truly special. Camp is now four jam-packed days of workshops, mentorship, games, Indigenous programming, and an amazing Artist-in-Residence!
