Who was your community partner and can you describe the project objectives

For CSL 100, I partnered with . The project objectives were to develop cultural awareness and to educate ß÷ßäÉçÇøns on racism felt by marginalized groups.

What was your biggest takeaway from your CSL placement

That as someone who is going to be a second languages teacher, I need to know about programs that can help students retain their multilingualism and flourish.

How can you apply any newly gained knowledge/skills to your future endeavours (courses/employment/volunteering)?

I have learned how to apply my passion of languages into becoming a better future teacher and how to better teach the next generation of multilingual learners. I have learned about myself in the process and how I navigated a monolingual, Eurocentric Canadian world in the process as someone who is multilingual themself.
