of East Asian Studies at the ß÷ßäÉçÇø! Please come and
join the celebrations at the following events.

TALK AND RECEPTION, TELUS CENTRE, 4 - 7 P.M.
Please join us to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the
Department of East Asian Studies and the publication of _Pursuing
China_ by Brian Evans, professor emeritus of the ß÷ßäÉçÇø
and the founding chair of the Department of East Asian Studies at the
ß÷ßäÉçÇø. A reception will follow Professor Evans' talk
on his experiences as the first ß÷ßäÉçÇø faculty member
in East Asian Studies. This event is co-sponsored by the China
Institute and the ß÷ßäÉçÇø Press.
