Peter Menghesha
For Peter Menghesha, his commitment to a life of service is deeply personal. When his mother suffered a health emergency, rocking his family emotionally and financially, it was through community that his family found strength and fellowship, making their hard journey bearable.

Kyla Fald
As is so often the case, the catalyst for change is a barrier, perhaps unnoticed by most, that prevents an individual from accessing the resources that are available to others. These barriers may be institutional, or they may be cultural — a one-size-fits-all approach that creates a space that may not be welcoming to those who fit outside of traditional ‘norms’.

Mariam Sharaf
Like so many community builders, Mariam Sharaf’s most powerful tool is empathy. Her ability to see the needs of others and take action has empowered many and opened spaces for those who may not have previously felt welcomed.

Halle Walters
In life, you never know where an unexpected crossroad might force you to change direction. For Halle Walters, it was a sports injury that altered not only her athletic goals, but also her academic schedule as a first year engineering student.
