Overview

Students enrolled in AUPOL 248/348 will participate in either the National Model United Nations simulation in New York (Winter offering) or Washington, DC (Fall offering). Over the course of the semester, students will work as a team of diplomats assigned to a specific country and UN committee work. The course culminates with a trip to either New York or Washington, DC to participate in a United Nations simulation with university students from across the globe. At the simulation, students encounter the real-life frustrations and rewards of negotiations and diplomacy.
