What services do we offer?

As part of the student’s learning experience, you have the opportunity to receive the following services:

Routine care

Our students can help care for your smile by providing comprehensive oral health care. Benefit from dental hygiene services to keep your teeth sparkling and healthy, as well as effective periodontal (gum) therapy to address and prevent gum disease.

Tooth-saving services (fillings and root canals)

Preserve your natural smile with our restorative dental services. From fillings (silver amalgam, white composite, porcelain bonded) and root canal therapy to dentures, crowns, bridges, and veneers, we're here to help you regain a healthy and confident smile.

Removing teeth (extractions)

When necessary, supervised students can perform extractions with careful attention, including extractions for teeth that are severely damaged, decayed, or poorly positioned. We are committed to your comfort.

Replacing missing teeth (dentures and implants)

Regain a complete and natural-looking smile. We can create full or partial dentures to meet your individual needs or offer the stability of dental implants.

Appointments are available from September to mid-July.

How do patients help students?

Treating patients is essential for our undergraduate students to effectively learn how to become competent dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. Your commitment helps our students:

  • Gain experience with diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Develop skills with modern techniques and tools.
  • Enhance patient communication skills.
  • Refine manual dexterity and precision in procedures.
  • Learn to monitor treatment progress.

What should patients expect?

  • Step one: Screening appointment

    30 mins

A representative will call you to schedule a screening appointment. At the appointment, we will review your oral health to determine if you are eligible for the program, and if you are deemed eligible, you will move on to the steps below.

  • Step two: New patient exam

    Three hours

Then you will meet your assigned treatment provider (student). They will conduct an oral exam of your mouth, which may include capturing photographs, x-rays, or a 3D scan of your teeth. Before you leave, they will review the treatment costs, financial options and payment plans. After receiving a diagnosis, you have the option to begin treatment planning. Your assigned student, guided by the supervising faculty, will create a customized plan to address your diagnosis.

  • Step three: Begin treatment

    Three hours

You will start your treatment with your assigned student and will have ongoing appointments until your treatment is complete. Due to our learning environment, each appointment is three hours. Patients are expected to attend all appointments necessary for their treatment, and costs will vary depending on diagnosis.

What are patients saying?

Walking

"I found the process much more engaging than other dental health experiences I've had. The student and instructor overseeing my care both did an excellent job explaining procedures and it is the first time I have felt involved in my dental treatment."

"The clinic is always very responsive to my needs. Staff and students are so warm and caring and work in a wonderful work culture!"

“BEST experience I have ever received in all the years I have been involved with the dental community! The students I have been working with at the school (and the professors) are second to none!! My wife and my daughter are quite interested in seeing the school and possibly becoming patients. I tend to brag quite a bit to them and also to friends and acquaintances! I would like to take this opportunity to thank not only the students but the entire school itself!! I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED!! I have been involved with education for many years, and again I sincerely thank you all!”
